We had some issues with booking, the Fox is having a concert and it might conflict with our activities. The Senses team looked and looked for a new venue, and found it. We checked it out this past Sunday and as soon as we set our eyes on it, we knew this is where Senses x #MMAM2 would be. It’s perfect, and right around the corner from the Fox. See y’all Saturday, stop by and take a picture with me.
Last year’s #MMAM was the first event I’ve ever taken the lead on. We donated all our proceeds to the victims of the Philippines Typhoon. It felt good to party for a good cause & celebrate 1 year of weekly mixtapes.
As you can see, it was a blast. Imagine what this year will be.
Hip Hop is such an embellishing culture. You either have the fastest cars and nicest women or you are uber conscious with the nicest flows. Yes, I enjoy it, but it can be real corny if you step back and take it all in. Trek Life doesn’t tell stories about cocaine runs in the projects or describes how vast his vocabulary is. Instead, he offers stories from an every day man’s point of view and gives his take on how thing are and how they could be.

Basicali is fresh. It’s what Wiz Khalifa & Jerk fans are looking for but with a purpose. Basicali is a teacher, brings things to light, but keeps it fun. It’s been a real pleasure working with this gentleman, very motivating & energetic, he’s the MC of the echelon. Basicali is not just a name, it’s a thing. Basicali means basically Cali, so anything from CA is Basicali.

Shelly Renee performed with us at last years #MMAM and I had to have her back. She played hard to get this year, but I got her in the end. This R&B artist is real fly, very entertaining on stage. Composed & young with a beautiful voice, the gentlemen will probably fall in love.

Pr1me is the prime example of never giving up. I’ve watched this gentleman grow, doing everything it takes to be succesful. He understands that to gain real success, you must chip away at it till you achieve. Most cats think it’s on some overnight ish. Pr1me’s growth as an artist has been impressive the last few years. His network is thick, but he’s never been a name dropper. Hard work is what he and I have in common, and we grow because of that.

These cats are tied in with all your favorite Long Beach OG’s and have performed world wide. Smoothed out beats are blended with creative wordplay and catchy hooks, you’ll enjoy these guys on stage and in the iPod.

Ripping through the stereotypes, MC Prototype is a prime example of the positive hip-hop movement gaining strength in Southern California’s Inland Empire. Most known for his debut performance at the Paid Dues independent hip-hop festival in 2010, this performer exudes both soulfulness and joy. MC Prototype has earned his stripes as a poet on a nationally-ranked slam team and has performed internationally as both a poet and MC— Def Poetry meets Def Comedy Jam. Add a reputation for his dose-of-humor flavor and charismatic performance, and you have MC Prototype.
“Great story teller with fun lyrics. I canʼt help but to smile when listening to Prototypeʼs music. We need more of that!” – Scarub of The Living Legends “The rebirth of truth in booth and rage on stage.” – MC Supernatural
